An Easy Watering Hack for Indoor Plants

Terracotta Composting 50-Plant Garden Tower by Garden Tower Project

It’s winter here in the Northeast and since we can’t collect rainwater in our watering barrel until the Spring, I’m forced to use water from the faucet on our plant friends. There is one thing I do to that water before use that has a major impact…

Hello Plant Friend!

This Fiddle Leaf Fig is a keeper!

…I let water sit for 24 hours before using it. This helps any chemicals (chlorine, fluoride, etc.) to dissipate before use. It also brings the water to room temperature which the plant babies love. Do you like cold showers? Plants don’t either.

After each watering, I fill the container to the 90% mark. I then put the filled container away for the next watering.

I recently started using Noot with each watering. While tremendous growth hasn’t occurred (we are in the dormant season for most plants), some of the plants which generally lose a few leaves around this time have not. Check back with me on the Noot use in a few months when the growing season is in full swing!
