Find yourself saying “New Year, New Me”?
If so, nothing says new like updating your space. Whether you have a house or apartment, here are 5 low cost ways to get a new look!

The perfect rug is waiting for you!

  1. Add A Rug

Rugs are the anchors of a well designed room. For less than $150, you can get a new rug that’ll be sure to breathe new life into any room. There are many options out there and I’m confident you’ll have no problem choosing one that’s right for you.
Pro Tip: Be sure to select the right size. A rug that’s too small will get swallowed up by your furniture. A rug that’s too large will need to be folded and/or cut…no one wants that!

2. Level Up Your Linens

We spend entirely too much time in our beds to sleep on crappy linens. Get a duvet, a duvet cover, flat + fitted sheets, and pillow cases that will help you sleep in peace. Don’t forget about a few throw pillows. *Ever try a sound machine and weighted blanket? Grab those…thank me later.
Pro tip: Let go of those old and worn sheets and replace them with quality, washable bedding that will last for years to come.

3. Add A Plant

Nothing says new life like a new plant. House plants promote better air quality and who doesn’t want better air indoors?

4. It’s Time for a New Sofa

Let’s just be honest. Your sofa’s best days are behind him. Sitting on it is just not as comfortable as it once was and you have fallen out of love. It’s time to replace your old relic with one you love. There are some great retailers out there so be sure to do your research.
Pro tip: If you’re not quite ready for new and can settle for newer…try Facebook Marketplace. Buy from someone who has good reviews and check the piece out before agreeing to buy.
